What changed
Replaces the menu bar’s stacked-arrow mark with the two offset rounded panels from Nifro’s new app icon. The new SVG remains a monochrome template asset, so macOS continues to choose its colour for the active menu bar appearance.
The original acorn menu bar icon is preserved in
assets/menu-bar-icon-legacy-2026-08-30.svg, with its provenance recorded inassets/README.md.Design choice
At 20 pt, gradients, glass and shadows from the app icon would blur together and cannot survive template rendering. The menu bar version therefore keeps only the two-panel silhouette and their staggered placement.
Verification
Xcode Debug build completed with code signing disabled; both SVG files pass XML validation; the asset catalog still declares
MenuBarIcon.svgas a template asset;git diff --checkpasses.
