v1.9.0-beta2

Changed
- "Add leg" buttons on the trip detail and new-trip screens now say "Add leg or charge" in every language, and the labels auto-size to fit
- The home-screen widget re-renders its background only when the car's appearance or charging state changes — less memory churn and battery use
Security
- Server credentials are no longer included in Android backups or device-to-device transfers
- The debug endpoint-switching receiver no longer exists in release builds
- The Authorization header is redacted from debug HTTP logs
Full Changelog: v1.9.0-beta1...v1.9.0-beta2
v1.9.0-beta1
First beta of 1.9.0 — a big dashboard refresh, plus building trips by hand.
Added
- Top-right menu: Stats for nerds, Battery health, Where was I?, Sentry events, Settings
- Create a trip from scratch — a + button on the Trips list: pick the day, then choose the drives and charges that belong to it
- The empty Trips screen now explains how trips are auto-detected
Changed
- Redesigned bottom Activity card that headlines Trips (count + latest road-trip)
- Immersive, full-bleed map on the Location card (tap to open in maps)
- Tyre pressure moved into its own foldable card (verdict + per-wheel detail)
Fixed
- Fast-scroll thumb no longer jumps near the end (and clears the new + button)
- Software updates list showed each version's "days installed" off by one
v1.8.1
v1.8.0
First stable of the 1.8.0 line, rolling up beta1 through beta3. Everything new since 1.7.0:
Added
- German translation (Deutsch) — the app is now fully available in German.
Changed
- "Where was I?" redesign — the Location and State cards merge into one "what + where" card with a state-aware headline, a fully interactive map (drag to pan, pinch to zoom), and an "Open in Maps" button.
Fixed
- Locale-aware dates, times and durations — they follow your device language instead of fixed English/numeric patterns, and clock times honor your system's 12/24h setting.
- "Drives" vs "Trips" now use distinct words in Spanish, Catalan, Italian and Chinese (they previously shared one).
- Maps stopped fighting the page scroll on the trip, drive and charge detail screens.
- Diamond Black cars no longer show as white.
- A car that can't load no longer traps you — the car selector stays available so you can switch cars.
- Trips list shows energy consumed, not charged.
- "Today" filter respects your timezone instead of UTC.
Thanks
- @herrfrei for the German translation (#265).
- @HEXDude for the locale-aware date/time/duration work (#279, #280).
- @darookee (#272), @RealRunSpace (#284) and @martin131 (#281) for the bug reports.
Stable release — deploys to the Play Store production track.
v1.8.0-beta3
A small polish release on top of beta2.
Fixed
- Dashboard navigation labels no longer wrap — in languages with longer words (Spanish "Trayectos", Catalan "Trajectes"/"Càrregues"), the Drives/Charges/Trips buttons pushed the trailing letters onto a second line. Labels now shrink slightly to stay on one line; labels that already fit are unchanged (#295).
Beta release — deploys to the Play Store beta track.
v1.8.0-beta2
Second beta of the 1.8.0 cycle — a new language and a batch of fixes since beta1.
Added
- German translation (Deutsch) — the app is now fully localized in German.
Fixed
- No longer stuck on a car that can't load — if the selected car's status fails (e.g. a car removed from your Tesla account that TeslaMate still lists, returning "no info on this car ID"), the car selector now stays visible with an inline error + Retry, so you can switch to a working car instead of a frozen dashboard (#272).
- Diamond Black cars showed as white —
DiamondBlack(Juniper Model Y / Highland Model 3) wasn't recognized and fell back to white; it now renders correctly (#293). - "Drives" vs "Trips" disambiguated — in Spanish, Catalan, Italian and Chinese both were translated to the same word, making navigation/stats ambiguous. Drives now use a distinct term (es Trayectos, ca Trajectes, it Tragitti, zh 行程) while Trips keep the journey word (#291).
Thanks
- 🎉 @herrfrei for the German translation (#265).
- @darookee for reporting the multi-car loading bug (#272).
Beta release — deploys to the Play Store beta track.
