A malformed model stream now fails the task immediately instead of replaying it from the last durable snapshot.
Why
On
f835ad57409ddf33cd21c52947ec27e8c7024bb7, the AI SDK errortext part 8bfaeea5cfe5bd29 not foundclassified asrecoverable. Task mode rethrows recoverable failures to Workflow, which replays the turn and repeats the same malformed frame sequence. This reproduces #1227.Approach
The AI SDK emits this message when a text delta or end frame references a part that never started. Because replaying the same frame sequence cannot create the missing part, classifying the anchored error shape as
terminalshould stop the replay without changing recovery for unrelated errors.The classifier checks the full cause chain before retry signals. Regression coverage includes observed hex IDs, IDs with hyphens and underscores, nested retryable errors, and nearby messages that must remain recoverable. This follows the diagnosis and approach in #1439.
