Welcome! I’m Ulduz, a Research Fellow with a passion for exploring biology through computation, statistics, and data. Curiosity drives my research, and I enjoy uncovering patterns hidden within complex biological datasets while developing computational solutions that transform genomic data into meaningful biological insights. My research combines bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, statistical genomics, and epigenomics, with experience spanning genome assembly, Hi-C scaffolding, genome and functional annotation, transcriptomics, comparative genomics, structural variant discovery, pan-epigenomics, DNA methylation analysis, and multi-omics integration. I develop scalable and reproducible workflows using high-performance computing (HPC) to analyse plant and microbial genomes and support data-driven biological research. I am passionate about applying statistical analyses and computational approaches to agricultural and biological research, developing robust analytical frameworks that support evidence-based decision-making and advance excellence in agricultural science. My goal is always to develop computational workflows that are efficient, reproducible, well-annotated, and accessible to the broader scientific community. Beyond research, I’m always excited to connect with scientists, developers, and students who share an interest in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, and quantitative science. I strongly believe that the best research is built through collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning. Whether it’s discussing new ideas, contributing to open-source projects, or working together on challenging biological questions, I'm always happy to learn, share knowledge, and collaborate.
