Closes #669.

R6 β→γ→CC is complete, and operator final-read accepted the source-checkout-only, zero-standing candidate.

This publishes the recursive-cell coherence methodology as a
source-checkout-only, zero-standing candidate and ships the deterministic #662
State-A route described by the tracked methodology:

  • atomically emits the exact six registered prompts, prompt digest manifest,
    and separate H01-H13 assessment prompt;
  • ingests six exact standard TSC v3.2.4 witnesses plus the typed assessment,
    snapshots and binds all inputs, retains six canonical reports, and emits one
    CUE-validated publication record;
  • validates exact defect-card and next_fixes shapes, computes the unweighted
    L0-L4 aggregate, carries the selected canonical bottleneck axis, and applies
    all thirteen invariant gates;
  • refuses missing or non-regular response/invariant inputs, changed canonical
    target or assessment prompts, response bytes inconsistent with the
    assessment's bound digests, canonical emission/publication reuse, and
    publication-lock contention; publishes from private staging by atomic rename
    so refusal leaves no partial canonical publication; and statically rejects
    any symlink component in the output path or response/invariant paths before
    snapshot;
  • binds the active runner, pinned coh executable, schema, instruction,
    assessment, registry, preflight, manifests, prompts, responses, reports,
    target, and caller-declared revisions and time; and
  • passes deterministic no-live-model validation plus pinned
    coh 0.12.0 (26aab50) six-target compatibility using tracked synthetic
    witnesses.

R6 repairs provenance without changing that product matter. It begins at
the main tip frozen when R6 reconstruction began,
e8ba9954764d58e7b808104d633504e25aa615cc; γ's scaffold
6e07b4cc42a851a3b35499212f624264ff49557a is the first cycle commit;
and all six superseded matter patches were freshly committed with both author
and committer alpha <alpha@cdd.cnos>. Their replay boundary is
b2aafc79e2c5952dc2ecf22038ae9dfcc1aaa544; the old
90287522..ccaf356 and reconstructed e8ba9954..b2aafc79 binary patch
streams, excluding .cdd/unreleased/669/**, remain byte-identical with
SHA-256
4c42826034a446e0953e0934085dbfd8ee6bb71febff39254c7a34c44a65d9c0.

R6/R2 repairs β D1 additively. The current matter commit is
db9ce95b1beb025d24f43fba2df58692665f80be, tree
2e4f08e1d2632a8a5fd008a08187a1b42d231152. Its exact additive binary patch
stream from γ clarification 3144369b... hashes to
23749673b9fa678ad832b5b4f6915f5bed2b2865896555daf3504e2dd4e62796.
The corrected full e8ba9954..db9ce95b cycle patch stream hashes to
055c1b52ea5e83e64cca7a3dd8efe7c054b76f9e170c3fa90e9484a05d81c6a1
and is byte-identical to the superseded-base replay after applying that exact
additive repair. These are patch-stream statements, not final-tree or direct-
diff equality claims.

The retained R2 and R5 β/γ records are historical snapshots only. Their
verdicts and closeouts do not authorize this reconstructed lineage. The
immutable product matter remains exact commit
db9ce95b1beb025d24f43fba2df58692665f80be, tree
2e4f08e1d2632a8a5fd008a08187a1b42d231152. The exact R6/R3 α review head
is the commit containing the final canonical self-coherence artifact and this
proposed body; it is not self-identified here and must instead be bound
externally by κ's handoff and fresh β intake.
The completed exact-SHA R6/R3 β→γ→CC chain externally binds that head and
has now preceded operator final-read.

State-B arbitrary methodology/target loading and installed activation remain
unshipped. #662 remains a design/calibration source rather than a held-out
target. The pinned real-coh run is compatibility evidence over synthetic
tracked witnesses, not a semantic sample, calibration result, ratification,
or standing claim. The candidate's standing remains none.

This branch proposal itself authorizes no label change, standing promotion, or
cell/wave FSM transition. The completed exact-SHA chain and operator final-read
separately authorize the ready mark and normal merge at the unchanged reviewed
head.

External β Review — cnos#669 recursive-cell CM

Review boundary. Fresh, context-isolated β activation over PR head 9cfbcc45fd4a57f9f58741a6c1f27f3577a038d8; I authored none of this matter and formed this review from the issue/PR record, exact diff, complete CM tree, cnos doctrine/validator/package sources, and pinned TSC 26aab5023f03dc7d0abf82e5fdba20134fc6adad contract, CM-of-CMs, runtime, registry, and CLI sources. I treated the bundled self-measure and green CI as evidence, not authority. Hosting limitation: this β and the matter author are functionally separate activations but share OpenAI Codex hosting and the usurobor GitHub identity, so this review does not claim hosting-identity independence or off-house standing.

Exact-SHA verdict: ITERATE — 9cfbcc45fd4a57f9f58741a6c1f27f3577a038d8.

Required findings

  1. The declared semantic instrument is not executable as one frozen instrument (β / declaration↔implementation fit). methodology.instruction names only INSTRUCTION.md. That file is a domain supplement: it refers to “TSC Core 3.2,” “v3.2.4,” primary-axis precedence, and the “standard TSC witness JSON contract,” but does not contain that contract or the fixed checklist. TSC's CLI accepts one --instruction file; it does not load this methodology declaration. Conversely, emitting a normal TSC prompt uses runtime/SELF-MEASURE.md and does not include the cnos supplement. The README's steps (“emit” with TSC, then apply INSTRUCTION.md) therefore require an unmaterialized two-source prompt whose ordered bytes and digest are not owned by any file or command. This is more than the honestly declared arbitrary-CM loader residual: the manual State-A route cannot prove that the prompt being ingested contains both authorities. The pc-d0: Cell Classes and Mechanical FSM architecture note (expected output = docs/architecture/CELL-RUNTIME-CLASSES.md; sub of #627) #662 readings were produced with the standard TSC instruction before this candidate existed, so they calibrate the target corpus but do not prove this candidate instruction reproduces them.

    Repair: provide one canonical, immutable composite instruction or a deterministic checked assembly command that binds the pinned TSC instruction bytes plus the cnos supplement; document exact coh --registry/--target/--instruction/--emit-prompt/--llm-response commands and make prompt-digest verification part of preflight. Re-run at least a smoke ingestion through that exact route. Keep arbitrary declaration loading explicitly unshipped.

  2. I5 does not establish the target/path claims attributed to it (β / false proof boundary). The new check only tests registry and instruction with -e, tests the optional preflight with -e, and searches the registry using unanchored literal text grep -Fq "[target.${target}]". It does not parse the registry, resolve each manifest path, require a regular/executable preflight, parse manifests, require manifest.name == declared target, or prove non-empty bundles. A comment or malformed registry containing the section text passes; a registered target can point to a missing manifest and still pass. It also omits TSC's declaration/source checks for mechanical signals and the exact LLM output-contract field set. The sole new negative fixture proves only that an entirely missing methodology block fails; none of the new filesystem/registry/preflight refusal paths is regression-tested. Thus issue AC2's “resolves” claim and the PR body's I5 proof exceed what runs.

    Repair: validate the registry with TSC-compatible parsing semantics; resolve and parse every declared manifest; check exact target name equality and non-empty resolution (or a bounded historical-checkout equivalent); require the calibration preflight to be a regular executable when declared; and add negative fixtures for missing registry/instruction/preflight, non-executable preflight, missing/malformed manifest, mismatched manifest name, and empty target. Either add the signal/output-contract cross-checks or narrow the compatibility/proof claims expressly to CUE shape only.

  3. The self-measure record does not satisfy this CM's own provenance contract (β, secondary γ). SKILL.md §4 requires immutable CM, target-bundle, prompt/config, consistency, engine/model/version/time provenance. calibration/self/report.json identifies only target direct and contains scoring mathematics; it has no ordered target manifest/file list or bundle hash, prompt/config hash, command, sample count, engine/model identity, or timestamp. The README states a 15-file prompt digest and three exact mechanical runs, but does not preserve the exact ordered bundle/config or the three run outputs, so neither the reported digest nor determinism claim can be independently replayed. The one semantic response is correctly labeled same-author/no-standing, but it cannot fill those missing mechanical/provenance edges.

    Repair: add an immutable self-target manifest/ordered file list and deterministic invocation; bind its bundle and composite-instruction/config digests in the report; retain the three raw mechanical outputs or a reproducible determinism receipt; record engine revision/version and run provenance. Re-run after findings 1–2 so the self-measure covers the executable instrument and validator actually shipped. Preserve the present no-independent/no-consistency/no-admissibility/no-held-out-standing language.

  4. The public package projection has dangling source-repository authority paths (β / packaging). cn build archives this entire public skill under package-relative skills/cdd/measure/recursive-cell/, but the frontmatter registry, instruction, and preflight values remain src/packages/cnos.cdd/.... Those resolve in the cnos source checkout used by I5, not in an installed cnos.cdd package. The package also does not carry the repository-level CUE schemas/validator. Public activation can therefore discover a measurement whose declared local authority paths do not resolve in the distributed form. The historical target manifests legitimately address a cnos checkout, but that is distinct from the CM package's own authority-path base.

    Repair: define and test one path-base contract that works after packaging (for example package-relative CM resources plus an explicit target-root for cnos corpus paths), or explicitly prevent/disclaim installed activation until such resolution exists. Build the package, inspect the tarball, and run a read-only resolution smoke from an installed-package layout.

Confirmed boundaries

The authority location under canonical src/packages/cnos.cdd/skills/cdd/measure/recursive-cell/ is appropriate; L0–L4 plus system manifests cover the intended historical layers; the #662 preflight binds receipt head, matter revision, matter SHA-256, and rejects the current PR checkout; the CUE essence shape matches the pinned TSC core fields; and the candidate repeatedly and correctly denies held-out, consistency, admissibility, independent, automatic-loading, and ratification standing. Those strengths do not close the declaration/execution and proof gaps above.

Recommended next CDD action: return this exact SHA to α for a narrow repair pass covering the four findings, then request a fresh exact-SHA β review before γ closeout; do not promote standing or treat the historical calibration as ratification.

α repair receipt — exact SHA 2b9b5e51d90e9379202d25cbdd8f39f7424946bb

Repair round for external β ITERATE comment 5015605863. The reviewed base and PR head were both re-verified at 9cfbcc45fd4a57f9f58741a6c1f27f3577a038d8 before edits; this receipt binds the single focused repair commit above.

1. Composite semantic instrument

Finding → TSC accepts one --instruction, while the prior route left the pinned TSC instruction and cnos supplement as an unmaterialized two-source instrument.

Repair → INSTRUCTION.md is now one canonical composite. instruction/ retains the exact pinned TSC Self-Measure v3.2.4 bytes, the cnos v0.2 supplement, and an executable checked assembler. The assembler verifies core, supplement, and composite SHA-256 before emitting or comparing. README now gives exact R7 overlay, preflight, prompt-emission, prompt-digest verification, and external-response ingestion commands. Arbitrary methodology-declaration loading remains explicitly unshipped.

Verification → composite check passes at SHA-256 0b7e26a2fce364c2f89bbd04a72e8e1068cb7339de9e9b9e9d33e520eff75645; the self prompt re-emits at 4ccef013f935b1733df82400c0b7eda9e05c04ba5f90ea8afb8ebd6df7ebeaa2; pinned coh accepted the retained semantic response through the hybrid external-response route.

2. Honest I5 proof boundary

Finding → literal section grep and existence checks did not parse registries/manifests, prove exact names/paths, enforce executable preflight, or establish non-empty targets.

Repair → added a bounded parser/expander matching pinned TSC 0.1 registry/manifest and prefix/suffix-glob semantics. I5 now requires regular registry/instruction files, a regular executable preflight, exact registration and manifest-name equality, accepted manifest kind/format, and non-empty expansion at the declared historical revision. The exact ordered v3.2.4 top-level witness field set is cross-checked. Mechanical signal compatibility is expressly narrowed to a cnos taxonomy because TSC exposes no versioned signal schema.

Verification → all six historical targets resolve at frozen a0d39293... with counts 30/4/4/8/12/11; I5 self-test passes new refusals for missing registry, instruction, and preflight; non-executable preflight; missing/malformed manifest; mismatched name; and empty target. Full I5 passes 100 skills.

3. Replayable post-repair self-measure

Finding → the prior report lacked an ordered manifest, bundle/config/prompt/instrument hashes, raw N=3 results, and complete engine/time provenance.

Repair → added self registry/target manifest with an explicit ordered 55-file input set. Measurement outputs are excluded to prevent self-inclusion. receipt.json binds the framed bundle, target manifest, registry, config, composite instruction, prompt, exact commands, three raw mechanical outputs, semantic response, hybrid report, TSC revision/version, witness hosting/model-family limitation, and UTC times.

Verification → ordered bundle SHA-256 d6031d7f107f4bcce4f86d36e0c8255148ada28df80949912f0fe2ea57df4001; N=3 raw mechanical outputs are byte-identical (438b8121...) with identical numeric scores; hybrid ingestion validates. The record continues to claim zero independent, consistency, admissibility, or held-out standing.

4. Package/source path-base contract

Finding → repository-root authority paths dangle in an installed package.

Repair → methodology now declares path_base: repository-root, target_root_contract: explicit-coh-root, and activation: source-checkout-only. resolve-authority.sh validates the source route and explicitly refuses installed activation until TSC separates authority root from target root. A package smoke builds cnos.cdd, inspects the tarball layout, extracts it, and requires that refusal.

Verification → cn build --check passes all packages; package smoke passes against cnos.cdd-3.82.0.tar.gz; source resolution passes; installed activation exits with the required refusal.

Verification summary

I re-read the prior β requirements, α repair receipt, exact repair diff, changed CM/schema/validator/package surfaces, pinned TSC contract/runtime/registry implementation, and live checks; I treated α's receipts, retained self-measure, and CI as evidence rather than authority. This activation remains hosting-identity-limited: β and α share OpenAI Codex hosting and the usurobor GitHub identity, so this is functional role separation, not off-house or hosting-independent standing.

Exact-SHA verdict: ITERATE — 2b9b5e51d90e9379202d25cbdd8f39f7424946bb.

R1 closure walk

  1. Composite instrument / State-A route — closed. The vendored TSC v3.2.4 bytes are byte-identical to pinned TSC runtime/SELF-MEASURE.md; core, supplement, and composite SHA-256 checks reproduce; INSTRUCTION.md is one CLI-consumable instrument; the README now gives the exact registry/instruction/root/prompt/response route while continuing to say arbitrary declaration loading is unshipped. Independent prompt emission over the self target reproduced 4ccef013f935b1733df82400c0b7eda9e05c04ba5f90ea8afb8ebd6df7ebeaa2.

  2. Registry/manifest/preflight proof — implementation repaired, CI integration still broken. The literal registry grep is gone. The bounded parser now checks accepted formats/kinds, exact registration and manifest names, safe manifest paths, executable preflight, and non-empty historical resolution; the new positive/negative fixture suite behaves as declared locally, and all six R7 targets independently resolve to the recorded 30/4/4/8/12/11 counts when the historical Git object exists.

    The repository's own required I5 jobs do not have that object. Both live checks on this exact SHA fail with:

    .github/workflows/build.yml uses the default shallow actions/checkout@v4; the repair added no history acquisition. Thus the PR's “Full I5 passes 100 skills” evidence is environment-local, and issue AC6/full-corpus green plus the new AC2 proof are not satisfied on the actual CI path. This is a proof-harness regression introduced by correctly making historical resolution fail closed, not a reason to weaken the validator.

    Required repair: make the I5 job deterministically materialize the pinned historical commit before validation—prefer an explicit full-history checkout (fetch-depth: 0) for that job, or an equally pinned fetch of exactly a0d39293a27cfe57b49dacff696345b1ee2cdb40. Retain fail-closed behavior when the object is genuinely unavailable. Re-run both push and pull-request I5 checks and show the 100-skill validation plus all six historical target counts green in the CI logs. No CM/schema redesign is required for this finding.

  3. Self-target/provenance/non-circularity — closed. The retained 55-file target excludes all measurement outputs. Its manifest/registry/config/response/report/raw-run hashes match receipt.json; the framed bundle replays to d6031d7f107f4bcce4f86d36e0c8255148ada28df80949912f0fe2ea57df4001; all three raw mechanical reports are byte-identical; engine revision/version, commands, times, prompt digest, and witness hosting limitation are recorded. The semantic sample remains N=1 same-author and the artifacts consistently confer zero independent, consistency, admissibility, or held-out standing.

  4. Source/package path base — closed to the prior requirement. The schema and authority now state repository-root, explicit-coh-root, and source-checkout-only; source resolution checks the composite and required paths; the built tarball contains the declared CM resources; the installed-layout resolver explicitly refuses with a typed nonzero exit. This is an honest State-A boundary, not arbitrary-CM deployment.

Bounded residuals

  • The installed-layout smoke is supplied as a reproducible script but is not wired into the current build workflow; installed activation remains intentionally unavailable, so this is not standing or deployment evidence.
  • TSC arbitrary-CM loading and distinct authority-root/target-root support remain unshipped.
  • The target manifest describes an explicit source set while TSC sorts bundle files lexically; the retained prompt digest binds the actual engine ordering, so replay remains deterministic.

None of these residuals promotes this same-author candidate or turns #662 into held-out calibration.

Recommended next CDD action: return only the shallow-checkout/I5 integration defect to α for a minimal workflow repair, then request a fresh exact-SHA β re-review before γ closeout. Do not mark ready, ratify the CM, or advance standing on this R1 result.

Repair round for external β R1 ITERATE comment 5015713218. Before editing, local HEAD and PR #670 head both matched reviewed SHA 2b9b5e51d90e9379202d25cbdd8f39f7424946bb.

Finding → repair → verification

Finding. The required I5 job used the default depth-1 checkout. The recursive-cell validator correctly failed closed because pinned historical commit a0d39293a27cfe57b49dacff696345b1ee2cdb40 was absent, so both push and pull-request I5 executions failed before proving the 100-skill corpus.

Repair. The I5 job now retains its shallow primary checkout and fetches only the exact pinned commit:

This is scoped only to skill-frontmatter-check; it does not fetch full history, change permissions, alter the validator, weaken the historical check, or remove/change the pin. A missing or unreachable object still fails before I5.

Verification. In a fresh real depth-1 clone of cycle/669, the pinned object was confirmed absent before the fetch. The exact command above materialized it; from inside that shallow clone:

  • schema self-test passed;
  • full I5 passed: 100 SKILL.md validated; no findings;
  • the pinned target validator resolved all six historical bundles at counts 30/4/4/8/12/11.

All repository workflow YAML parsed successfully with the same PyYAML guard used by CI, and git diff --check passed.

Live CI at this SHA

Both live jobs show the pinned-fetch step, fixture self-test, and full validation succeeding. The containing workflows were still completing unrelated downstream jobs when this receipt was posted; the requested I5 blocker is green on both event paths.

Commit: 9cc9c3bb ci: fetch recursive-cell calibration revision for I5 (one file, one focused R2 commit).

The unrelated untracked .cdd/unreleased/429/gamma-scaffold.md remains preserved and was never staged. No labels, readiness state, or merge state were changed.

I re-read the R1 finding and α R2 receipt, inspected the exact one-file diff and complete I5 job, and checked both cited workflow logs and final workflow states. This activation remains hosting-identity-limited: β and α share OpenAI Codex hosting and the usurobor GitHub identity, so this is functional role separation and does not create off-house or hosting-independent standing.

Exact-SHA verdict: CONVERGE — 9cc9c3bbe97b11a94dbab6e47bdc95a2fb0a418c.

Findings

The R1 blocker is closed without weakening the proof:

  • .github/workflows/build.yml remains depth-1 for the primary checkout and adds one I5-only fetch of exact object a0d39293a27cfe57b49dacff696345b1ee2cdb40 using --no-tags --no-recurse-submodules --depth=1.
  • The next command verifies ${revision}^{commit} before CUE setup or validation. A missing/unreachable object therefore still fails closed; the validator's own cat-file/historical-tree gate is unchanged.
  • Push I5 run 29687234052 shows fetch-depth: 1, the exact pinned fetch to FETCH_HEAD, the complete positive/negative self-test, and 100 SKILL.md validated; no findings.
  • Pull-request I5 run 29687235912 shows the same pinned fetch, fixture result, and 100-skill result.
  • Both containing workflows completed successfully, including Go, package/source drift, schema sync, links, I5/I6, dispatch guards, workflow parse, binary verification, and package verification.
  • Independent execution of the unchanged historical target validator at this SHA resolves cc662-system/l0/l1/l2/l3/l4 to 30/4/4/8/12/11 files.

The repair diff is exactly nine added lines in .github/workflows/build.yml. It does not change workflow permissions, action pins, validator semantics, methodology/schema bytes, package content, source/package path policy, or any unrelated job. git diff --check is clean.

Original four-finding closure

  1. Frozen composite semantic instrument and manual State-A route: closed. One digest-checked TSC-v3.2.4-plus-cnos instruction is supplied to the CLI's single instruction input; arbitrary declaration loading remains honestly unshipped.
  2. Registry/manifest/preflight validation and negative proof: closed. Exact historical resolution is fail-closed and now runs successfully in both required shallow CI event paths.
  3. Replayable self-target, provenance, N=3 evidence, and non-circularity: closed. Outputs are excluded from the target; retained hashes, prompt, engine/config provenance, and byte-identical mechanical runs remain bound; semantic N=1 remains zero-standing evidence only.
  4. Source/package path-base behavior: closed. Source-checkout-only authority is explicit; the installed layout refuses activation through the supplied resolver and claims no deployed arbitrary-CM behavior.

Deliberate non-blocking residuals

  • TSC arbitrary-CM declaration loading and distinct authority-root/target-root support are unshipped.
  • Installed-package activation remains deliberately refused.
  • Semantic evidence remains one same-author sample and carries no independent, consistency, admissibility, held-out, or off-house standing.

These are correctly bounded State-A limitations. This review neither ratifies the CM nor promotes its standing, and #662 remains a design/calibration source rather than a held-out anchor.

Recommended next CDD action: γ may perform exact-SHA closeout for cnos#669, binding the two repair rounds, this R2 β result, and the green push/PR workflows. Any readiness, merge, ratification, standing promotion, or subsequent activation decision remains with its separately authorized downstream gate.

γ Closeout — cnos#669 recursive-cell CM

This addendum preserves the preceding α/β/γ evidence but supersedes the provisional recommendation to proceed to operator final-read and merge.

Corrected judgment

The candidate packaging and terminal receipt chain are mechanically coherent. β's CONVERGE remains useful evidence bound to matter SHA 9cc9c3bbe97b11a94dbab6e47bdc95a2fb0a418c, and γ at receipt head c8d680bf822b46b9f931d62b07d68f50ade1b07e establishes custody and closure of that review round. Neither establishes complete correctness or sufficiency.

The subsequent CC-like judgment was correlated evidence: the same activation lineage authored matter, performed γ closure, and formed the judgment. It is therefore retained only as a provisional self-assessment, not independent ratification or merge authorization. A non-author merge would satisfy a merge firebreak but would not cure that evidentiary limitation.

R3 findings

  1. The documented State-A route executes a single cc662-system target, while the public output contract promises per-level L0–L4 reports, a cross-level aggregate, and a hard-invariant report. Those typed outputs are not emitted or validated by the current route.
  2. CI proves registration, source resolution, frozen historical availability, and standard witness shape, but it does not exercise the documented pc-d0: Cell Classes and Mechanical FSM architecture note (expected output = docs/architecture/CELL-RUNTIME-CLASSES.md; sub of #627) #662 route end-to-end or validate the declared cross-level semantic outputs.

The addendum's narrow R3 is implemented as one amended matter commit. The first pushed candidate a25a711f4b5cea9b263f3e3cd35aad39a7cdcdc6 exposed a shallow-CI omission: the new preflight needs both receipt a0d3929... and matter 2d6b93c.... That candidate is superseded. The exact head above fetches and verifies only those two pinned objects at depth one; a fresh shallow-clone reproduction passed before repush.

Outcome

  • State-A now emits six target prompts (system and L0-L4), their digests, and one separate invariant-assessment prompt bound to all six.

Separation disclosure. This was a fresh functional β R3 review, separate from the α implementation/repair and the prior review/closeout functions. It shares the OpenAI Codex service/model context and the usurobor GitHub identity with those actions; this is functional separation, not an independent human or provider identity.

Verdict: ITERATE

  1. The State-A runner rejects a valid non-empty TSC v3.2.4 witness. The pinned TSC contract defines next_fixes entries as objects with axis and fix, and its parser accepts exactly that shape (pinned parser). The R3 runner instead requires every next_fixes item to be a string (runner validation). A direct probe using [{"axis":"beta","fix":"Repair the relation."}] was refused. All seven new runner fixtures use [], and the fake CLI does not validate this field, so the green local suite and both green GitHub runs miss the incompatibility. This breaks the claimed ingestion of six standard witnesses whenever a model supplies an actionable fix. Minimum repair: validate non-empty next_fixes as exact {axis, fix} objects with a valid axis and non-empty fix; add positive non-empty and malformed negative fixtures; exercise the corrected non-empty shape through the pinned real coh compatibility route.

  2. Published output is neither fresh-run-safe nor atomic. prepare accepts an existing output directory, reports are copied directly into the canonical reports/ directory, and recursive-cell-run.json is written before its final CUE validation (prepare, direct report publication, pre-validation final write). I reproduced a successful ingest followed by a refused ingest into the same output root: the second command exited 1, while the prior canonical aggregate still existed byte-for-byte unchanged. A later per-target or CUE failure can likewise expose a stale aggregate, a partially replaced report set, or an invalid final JSON under canonical names. Minimum repair: either require a fresh output root per run or stage the complete report/result set, validate it fully, and publish it transactionally with an unambiguous success marker; add reuse, mid-ingest failure, and final-schema-failure tests proving that a failed attempt cannot leave stale or mixed artifacts presented as the current canonical run.

Required findings

  1. The runner still rejects a valid standard TSC v3.2.4 witness. The pinned v3.2.4 contract makes defect-card secondary_axes optional, and the pinned parser maps an omitted field to [] (contract, parser). R4 instead requires every card to have exactly seven keys including secondary_axes (runner). I removed only secondary_axes from the tracked systemic-card fixture, updated the temporary prompt/response digest maps, and ran both consumers over the same frozen target: pinned coh 0.12.0 (26aab50) validated the response; the State-A runner refused witness cc662-l3 has malformed defect card and published nothing. The green real-engine compatibility route misses this boundary because its positive witnesses have empty defect_cards; the fake failing fixture always supplies secondary_axes. Repair: accept the six required card fields with optional secondary_axes (defaulting to an empty list), retain exact validation when it is present, and add both a runner-positive fixture and a pinned-real-coh compatibility case with a nonempty defect card omitting the optional field.

  2. The declared exact State-A route does not agree with R4's atomic emission layout. After a successful R4 emit, the assessment prompt exists at RUN_ROOT/emission/invariant-assessment-prompt.md, but the README still directs the assessor to RUN_ROOT/invariant-assessment-prompt.md (README, implementation). I reproduced the documented emit: the README path was absent and the emission/ path was present. The authoritative frontmatter is stale at the same boundary: methodology.execution.emits still declares prompts/..., invariant-assessment-prompt.md, and prompt-digests.json while the same declaration's outputs and produces list are explicitly output-root-relative under emission/ / publication/ (SKILL.md). The later source-authority smoke snippet also invokes $CM without defining it in that snippet; it works only if the reader happened to execute the separate earlier shell block in the same shell (README). These are executable-contract defects, not prose polish: the advertised exact route cannot produce the seventh input from the documented path. Repair: make the README route and frontmatter emission paths name emission/... exactly, make the path-base smoke self-contained, and regression-check the documented paths against a fresh emitted tree.

Independent evidence and closed R3 findings

  • Local HEAD, origin/cycle/669, and live PR head matched 8baf9ead0ff773a23812db1153d1bcfa27bedf2f; its parent is the reviewed R3 SHA bc6f6aa946cbbb555bb409c8bc180f5d49685b6e. This is compatibility evidence, not a semantic sample.
  • Composite assembly, git diff --check, frontmatter self-test plus all 100 skills, and the package/source-layout plus installed-activation-refusal smoke passed. Push run 29693998529 and PR run 29694000077 are successful on the exact SHA; I treat them and α receipt 5016401039 as evidence, not authority.

Judgment boundary and immutable binding

This is a fresh Cohering Cell (CC) process/coherence judgment outside the WC α, functional β, κ, and γ lineages. Its TSC-γ telos is to judge whether the closed R5 process and its repository-native CM package cohere well enough to feed operator final-read. It is not a content re-review, a new CM artifact, or a semantic self-sample.

I do not assign a numeric score. It accepted the valid nonempty card omitting optional secondary_axes; refused malformed cards and next_fixes; reproduced the exact frozen target counts 30/4/4/8/12/11; exercised pass/fail/unknown dispositions; and preserved atomic publication under reuse, contention, symlink, mutation, mid-target, and final-schema failures. The current checkout itself correctly fails the historical calibration preflight because it is not receipt a0d3929…; the detached exact historical target passes. These are mechanical compatibility/custody checks, not semantic standing.

The chain is coherent for functional separation:

  • response and invariant snapshotting uses shutil.copyfile() without first
    refusing a symlink.

The shipped symlink regression covers only a symlink at
output/publication. In an independent negative probe, a symlinked output root
and all six symlinked response files were accepted; emit wrote through the
root symlink and ingest published successfully:

git diff --quiet ccaf356… HEAD. That oracle fails. The direct diff contains

require_regular_input() checks the pathname for symlink components and then
uses is_file() (recursive-cell-runner.py lines 102–106). snapshot_file()
calls that check and then calls shutil.copyfile(source, destination)
(lines 109–115). copyfile opens the source pathname separately from the
validation. The pathname is checked, then reopened for copying, so the
documented broad race-refusal guarantee is not established. The passing static
symlink regressions and complete runner suite do not exercise or close that
identity gap.

Required repair: choose one coherent boundary:

  1. snapshot through the already-validated open file object/descriptor, with
    identity/type checks bound to that same object; or
  2. narrow every live and tracked race-refusal statement to the implemented
    publication, lock, reuse, and other specifically proven race classes.

  • ingestion requires six exact standard witness objects plus the separate
    assessment, snapshots them, verifies all prompt and response bindings,
    retains six canonical reports, and validates both publication JSON objects
    with CUE before the atomic publication/ rename;
  • exact defect-card and nonempty next_fixes shapes, H01–H13 ordering and
    scoped defect correlation, the unweighted L0–L4 geometric aggregate, the
    canonical bottleneck axis, and zero-standing disposition are all exercised;
  • the complete deterministic runner suite passes the R6/R2 static symlink
    regression family: output root, output ancestor, every one of six response
    paths, response-directory component, and invariant path, plus reuse,
    contention, mutation, replay, mid-target failure, and final-CUE cleanup; and
  • package layout/source resolution pass while installed activation and
    arbitrary State-B loading remain deliberately unavailable.

A fresh real-engine compatibility run used pinned
coh 0.12.0 (26aab50) at
26aab5023f03dc7d0abf82e5fdba20134fc6adad. It produced six reports, a
passing H01–H13 gate, CUE-valid result/marker, aggregate
0.5667621299882342, bottleneck L4/beta, and disposition hold / standing
none. These tracked synthetic witnesses prove CLI/schema compatibility, not
semantic calibration or independent warrant.

Provenance, topology, and append-only channel

The parent chain is linear and exact at the review boundary:

The full R6 log is role-correct for both author and committer: γ owns the

β/β. gamma-scaffold.md has one creating commit only;
gamma-clarification.md, beta-review.md, and self-coherence.md advance by
append-only additions; no predecessor artifact was overwritten or cross-owned.

Product source outside .cdd/unreleased/669/** is byte-unchanged from
db9ce95b...; its tree remains
2e4f08e1d2632a8a5fd008a08187a1b42d231152. R6/R3 changes only the current
γ clarification and α proposal/self-coherence artifacts before this review.

The replay digests reproduce with their stated scopes:

Diff, CI, and architecture

git diff --check origin/main...56b08ea3... passes. A non-destructive
git merge-tree --write-tree origin/main 56b08ea3... succeeds without an
unmerged path. GitHub reports PR #670 OPEN, DRAFT, MERGEABLE, and
CLEAN; main has no protected required contexts, so the review fallback is
every exposed cycle-head workflow. Both exact-head Build runs are successful,
and all 22/22 rollup checks are completed/successful.

issue contract, R6 provenance contract, implementation boundary, artifact
channel, CI fallback, and draft/state/standing boundaries are coherent.

FSM and four-schema coherence

The correct executable level is L3. The present implementation has a shipped generic cell FSM with a single transition table and separately has a recursive-cell CM that emits immutable measurement evidence. The latter neither owns nor invokes the former's transition authority. That is the required CC/V/δ firebreak.

The canonical PC-D0 four-schema wave boundary — cn.intent.v1 → cn.cell.contract.v1 → cn.next-mca.v1 → cn.wave.v1 — remains a specified future State-B/wave surface. It is not claimed as shipped by this PR. Existing CDD contract, receipt, validation-verdict, and boundary-decision schemas are separate kernel trust surfaces; they are not evidence that the four wave schemas or class-aware routing already execute. This distinction is coherent and materially important.

Process and ε judgment

The reconstructed topology is coherent. γ's scaffold precedes all reconstructed α matter. α then owns the implementation and repairs; β records R6/R1 and R6/R2 request-changes findings, followed by R6/R3 convergence; γ records the final binding receipt. Superseded R2/R5 material is explicitly marked historical rather than silently promoted. The final broad claim that all raced inputs/outputs are refused was narrowed to what the code actually enforces: static lexical/path checks, immutable copied snapshots after copy, digest binding, locking/reuse rules, and atomic publication.

ε is correctly limited to learning across cells/iterations. The R6 repair rounds are temporal evidence inside this cell, not ε masquerading as a role. This external CC result may be consumed as an observation by a later cell, but it cannot rewrite the current α matter, β review, or γ receipt and cannot itself authorize a transition.

Reproduction findings

  • git diff --check passes for the exact 21-commit base-to-γ patch stream; the isolated checkout is clean.
  • The recursive-cell State-A runner suite passes its complete matrix: six-target emission/ingestion, pinned cnos#662 target resolution, exact instruction assembly, typed witnesses, omitted/present secondary_axes, defect-card refusals, prompt/response/invariant binding, aggregate/bottleneck/gate logic, replay, mutation/move refusal, symlink classes, lock contention, mid-run failure, final-schema failure, and atomic publication.
  • The valid all-pass calibration fixture still emits hold with standing: none; fail and unknown invariant routes emit the specified conservative dispositions.
  • Skill-frontmatter self-tests pass and all 100 repository SKILL.md files validate. The cnos.cdd package smoke test passes and proves installed activation refuses until the unshipped loader exists.
  • The live γ head currently has 22/22 completed-successful checks. The PR remains open and draft, as expected for the operator gate.

Residuals and standing boundary

  1. No measurement standing. This candidate is house-authored, cnos#662 is not held out, and no admissible independent/off-diagonal commons result exists. Mechanical repeatability and self-agreement support hygiene only; they do not establish correctness or a quantitative TSC score.
  2. State-A scope only. The supported route is an exact cnos source checkout. Arbitrary-subject loading, installed activation, State B, class-aware routing, the wave FSM, and the four wave schemas remain unshipped.
  3. External pathname race boundary. The implementation rejects static symlink components and rechecks before copy, but it does not snapshot through an already-validated descriptor. An adversarial pathname can change between check and reopen; no current authoritative projection promises otherwise.
  4. Custody independence is structural, not institutional. Canonical git identities, write ownership, temporal separation, and immutable receipts are observable, but shared hosting/account infrastructure does not prove independent human or organizational custody.
  5. Operator boundary remains. Open/draft status and this findings-only comment preserve the final-read boundary. No merge/ready declaration, standing change, FSM transition, or irreversible action is included here.
