Building stuff we wish existed.
Unta (an abbreviation for Untuk Kita — "For Us") is our vessel for a long journey. We are navigating through a barren land—a tech landscape too often built on greed rather than pure passion and maximum interest—toward an oasis.
This organization serves as the foundation for software built with serious intent.
Everything, from its very genesis to its absolute end, is built from something minuscule, yet carries the potential to create an impact of a cosmic scale.
We operate on a fundamental awareness: absolutely nothing is built alone. Every line of code and every system we create exists only because of an immense, pre-existing collective strength. We stand on the shoulders of thousands who came before us.
Because we are constructed by this collective power, it is our absolute responsibility to return what we build to the world.
The majority of Unta's projects are open source. We do not just share code; we release our work to feed and sustain the relentless tide of collective progress that drives the world forward.
We are brutally honest about the cost of building serious software. Servers, infrastructure, and continuous development require resources. However, any commercialization under Unta exists for one sole purpose: to keep the ecosystem alive and moving forward. To ensure we never lose our way in the barren land of corporate greed, we bind ourselves to these strict rules:
- The Core Remains Free: The fundamental engines, core libraries, and underlying logic of our tools will always remain open-source. We will never lock the heart of our software behind a paywall.
- Monetize Convenience, Not Access: When we commercialize, we charge for managed infrastructure, server hosting, and enterprise-level convenience—never for the right to read, learn from, or modify the code.
- Absolute Data Sovereignty: We do not build software to harvest and sell user data. The people who use our tools are our peers in this collective journey, not our product.
- Revenue is Fuel, Not the Destination: Financial gain is strictly the fuel required to maintain our databases, pay for computing power, and guarantee that Unta can continue its journey without breaking down.
