About Me

Hello, I am Ashutosh Tripathi, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP, Korea), where I am working with Dr. Hyun-Sik Jeong. I completed my PhD in Physics at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK, Japan), mentored by Prof. Jun Nishimura. Earlier, I obtained an integrated BS–MS degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER Mohali, India), where I carried out my Master’s thesis research under the guidance of Dr. Anosh Joseph.

My research focuses on non-perturbative approaches to quantum field theory, lattice gauge theory, and matrix models motivated by string theory and quantum gravity. I work on both continuum and lattice formulations, addressing computational challenges such as the sign problem, topological freezing, and large-N scaling. I have explored a variety of numerical and analytical techniques, including Lefschetz thimbles, complexified path integrals, and variational methods with neural network quantum states (NNQS). More recently, I have been investigating machine-learning methods to encode physical symmetries and topological structures, aiming for scalable simulations of strongly coupled systems. My long-term goal is to build robust computational frameworks bridging fundamental theoretical physics and modern AI to tackle open problems in high-energy theory and quantum many-body physics.
