Windows 11 Compatibility and X-Plane 12.2 Support Update

Summary

This update retargets the project to:

• Windows SDK version 10.0.22621.0
• Visual Studio 2022 toolset

Also added a fallback mechanism to correctly detect the window title, accommodating changes introduced in X-Plane 12.2.

Reason

• The previous version stopped working on Windows 11 due to reliance on an outdated SDK. This has been resolved by updating to a more recent SDK.
• X-Plane 12.2 changed the window title from X-System to X-Plane, causing the existing window detection logic to fail. This is now fixed with a fallback title check.

Impact

• Resolves compatibility issues with Windows 11 and X-Plane 12.2 and later.
• No changes to core application logic.

Notes

• Tested on Windows 11 with X-Plane 12.2.

This should now be fixed.
Laminar changed the window title from X-System to X-Plane in version 12.2, which caused some issues when trying to find the window.

Which version of X-Plane are you on @renstavanger? I haven't tested this recently. As with all XP updates these mods can break.

Hi! I've been using this PR for some time now for X-Plane post 12.2, however I tried it today in 12.4-b1 and it doesn't seem to be working anymore (I'm sure Laminar changed something that broke this mod). Would you have an opportunity to take a look? Thanks so much!

Sorry if I'm late, but I recently discovered that in 12.4, LR changed the window title from X-Plane to X-Plane Personal Edition, so that's why BMY doesn't work anymore. I hope you can take a look into this.

I just attempted to change the window name in the plugin to "X-Plane Personal Edition" and I rebuilt the plugin, however I got a CTD and an error in the Log.txt:

An unknown plugin has bypassed XPLM when calling SDK functions. This is a plugin bug.

So not only has the window name changed, X-Plane is now enforcing something that it previously didn't enforce.

Sadly this plugin seems to be broken in more than one way :(

I think it might be due to you not calling XPLM functions when recompiling the plugin. Yesterday I had to setup CMakeLists.txt, called the XPLM versions for enforcement and the plugin loaded cleanly, no errors (I used Bruno's fork of XPPlugins btw).
