Updating nyc from v10.1.2 to 13.0.1, and mocha from 3.2.0 to 5.2.0 resolves the vulnerabilities.
Using .eslintignore and .eslintrc in the examples and test folder eliminates the meaningless warnings.
Minor tweaks to two scripts eliminate the actual warnings.
