You see "Emissions Trading" and "Energy-Climate Policy Modelling" on my profile, and yeah, that's a big part of what I do. But what that really means is I'm constantly digging into data, building models (lots of love for MESSAGEix!), and trying to make sense of how we can transition to a cleaner energy future. It's not just about the numbers, though. It's about understanding the real-world implications and finding pathways that are both effective and fair.

Developing Energy-Climate Policy Modelling for India using MESSAGEix framework
- Project Description: Project Parties β IIT Kanpur and NITI Aayog; India Energy Model β 7 sectors; Dynamic Energy System Cost Minimization.
- Data Collection, Data Rectification and Data Verification: Extensive data analytics exercise on agriculture, transport, domestic, commercial, industry, coal, oil, natural gas and power sector data; Total Parameters 1860.
- Modelling Exercise and Post-processing: Developed Python code for carrying out energy system optimization modelling and reporting exercises. Verified/Validated mathematical formulation in GAMS code of MESSAGEix framework. Visualisation of model results in Python using matplotlib and MS Excel.
- Scenario Analysis and Reporting: Devised various scenarios incorporating INDC commitments and policy targets. Final report writing.

- Regulatory Manthan (RM): Contributed in organising CER's flagship event 1st and 2nd Regulatory Manthan. RM aims to discuss and identify national and international best practices, thus enhancing learning and capacity building. Assisted PI in research on Developing a Multi-year Tariff (MYT) Framework and Relinquishment of Long-term CGS PPAs beyond Tenure.

- Data Analytics & R Programming: Worked primarily on the Firm Level Database (FLD), a SQL interactive big data set sourced by CMIE Prowessdx. Employed R tools for data wrangling to deliver data in required formats.
- Economic Research: Figured out trends of systematic risk in Indian stocks over a time period (estimating beta value of NIFTY 50 firms), presenting findings via LaTeX-based statistical charts and graphs.
