💡 What: Refactored ArtifactStore.gc to use batched, concurrent chunked Promise.all for fs.stat and fs.rm calls rather than awaiting each one sequentially.
🎯 Why: The previous sequential file iteration resulted in a severe performance bottleneck during garbage collection for a large number of artifacts, significantly delaying other processes.
📊 Impact: Reduces GC operation time from over 1.2s to roughly 250ms (~80% reduction) for 5000 artifacts.
🔬 Measurement: By running a script that creates 5000 text files and measures the duration of ArtifactStore.gc() calls.
