Personal Neovim configuration. Modular, documented, and designed to be understood line-by-line. Rebuilt from kickstart-modular.nvim.

Install

Requires Neovim 0.10+ (installed automatically) and a Nerd Font (e.g. 0xProto) set as your terminal font.

Step	Command
1. Clone config	git clone https://github.com/roest1/nvim.git ~/.config/nvim
2. Install + sync	cd ~/.config/nvim && make all
3. Build help docs	:helptags ~/.config/nvim/doc  →  :help roest

make all runs two idempotent steps: make deps (installs neovim + CLI tools via brew/apt/dnf) → make sync (lazy.nvim plugin install + tree-sitter parsers, headless). Verify the install with :checkhealth external inside nvim.

Installs: neovim, ripgrep, fd, stylua, prettierd, ruff, eslint_d, zoxide, fzf, bat, eza, plus runtimes (node, python3, cargo). Mason handles LSP servers on first launch.

Other targets: make update (git pull + reinstall), make clean (wipe plugin + cache state).
