When your congregation splits, at least your data doesn't have to.
SchismStack is the only congregation management platform built from the ground up for denominational fractures. It handles the full lifecycle of a church split — membership migration, asset dispute tracking, giving record portability, and multi-faction communication — without ever taking a theological side. If your congregation is dividing, SchismStack is the infrastructure that keeps the chaos from becoming permanent.
- Membership migration engine with full giving history, attendance records, and role assignments intact
- Asset inventory dispute resolution across up to 847 simultaneous line-item claims per schism event
- Multi-faction communication channels with strict separation — no accidental cross-faction bleed
- Native integration with ChurchTrac, Planning Center, and Breeze for zero-data-loss imports
- Giving record portability that satisfies IRS requirements. Every denomination. Every state.

SchismStack is a microservices architecture running on a Kubernetes cluster, with each schism event isolated in its own namespace to prevent data bleed between factions. Member records and giving histories are stored in MongoDB, which gives us the transaction fidelity and auditability this domain demands. Long-term asset dispute state is persisted in Redis, ensuring that unresolved claims survive indefinitely across sessions and deployments. The whole thing is event-sourced — every membership move, every disputed pew, every contested organ — immutable, auditable, and reproducible from genesis.
