The Timeline freshness gate has been red on main since 2026-08-02 — July was never collected, and the collector leaves the narrative to be written by hand (it only ever writes `trend: null` for a new month). Collected 2026-07 across 47 repos and wrote the trend + milestone. July's story is ordeal: an untrusted QF_BV search paired with a formally-verified LRAT checker, so a result is believed because an independent checker re-derived it, not because the solver said so. Volume settles from June's crest (148 releases / 1,156 commits vs 235 / 1,485) while the work moves down a layer. `collect-timeline.py --check` now exits 0.
