Isn't this a bit in your face?

I can probably create a simple change which just replaces the content with a warning, so we can fiddle with that a bit further when it comes to formatting.

hehe Yes, on purpose. But if you think it's a bit too much we could go for a Q-Feeds pink color code like #F8E6F6 to soften it a bit. Or just the text as you've suggested. I think replacing the normal content is a minimum since this clearly shows that something is wrong. perhaps add a link to https://tip.qfeeds.com/ where the user can manage his licenses/API-key.
