- Close Cyberpunk 2077.
- Extract the release archive into the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder.
- Allow Windows to merge the archive's
binandr6folders with the existing folders. - Start the game and wait for REDscript compilation to finish.

Bindings, and bindArasaka Security: Command Menu.
A typical Steam installation folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077
Do not extract the archive into r6, bin, or the Cyber Engine Tweaks mod folder directly. The archive already contains the complete directory structure.
Default menu controls:
W/S: move selectionForD: confirmAorBackspace: go back- Bound menu key: open or close
The menu blocks conflicting movement inputs while open, including when V is in a vehicle.
| Security unit | Price |
|---|---|
| Light bodyguard | E$2,500 |
| Medium bodyguard | E$7,500 |
| Arasaka sniper | E$10,000 |
| Heavy bodyguard | E$15,000 |
| Arasaka Minotaur | E$25,000 |
| Sandayu Oda, boss variant | E$50,000 |
| Adam Smasher | E$100,000 |
Regular bodyguards, snipers, and Minotaurs have no count limit. Only one living Oda and one living Adam Smasher can be active at a time.
Each living guard receives a persistent numbered roster entry.
Guard: follows V and fights normally when combat starts.Aggressive: actively acquires entities already hostile to V. It does not intentionally target civilians or friendly quest NPCs.Passive: clears combat threats and deals no damage.Return to V: returns an on-foot guard who has fallen behind.
Vehicle boarding is manual:
Get inoffers front passenger, rear left, rear right, and any free passenger seat.- V must already be inside a player-owned vehicle.
- Quest and scripted vehicles are rejected to avoid reserving scene seats.
Get outexplicitly dismounts the selected guard.- Vehicle orders are one-shot commands. Guards do not automatically board or immediately re-enter.
Hired security:
- Becomes friendly to V and other hired guards.
- Persists in the save and is recovered after loading until confirmed dead.
- Uses dedicated follower records while retaining each source NPC's combat loadout.
- Recovers guards created by version 1.0 through legacy record mapping.
- Returns near V if more than 300 metres behind while V and the guard are on foot.
- Receives increased enemy threat so hostiles are more willing to attack guards instead of focusing only on V.
- Uses tuned additive damage corrections based on unit type, attack, and hiring price.
- Drops no weapons, ammunition, loot bags, or boss rewards when killed.
A confirmed death permanently retires that guard without a refund. If a paid entity fails to materialize within ten seconds, the full price is refunded.
Large NPCs can use unsuitable passenger animations, including T-poses. This is cosmetic.
Close the game and extract the new release over the old one. Do not delete runtime state before updating if you want existing hired guards to remain tracked. Version 2.0.22 recognizes guards created by version 1.0.
Dismiss or allow hired guards to die before uninstalling when possible. Close the game, then remove:

r6\tweaks\ArasakaSecurity.yaml
Advanced balance, price, distance, and timing settings are in:

An optional CET binding named Arasaka Security: Debug Spawn Test Squad + Start Damage Log creates free diagnostic units and can produce large telemetry logs. Leave it unbound during normal play.
