This is a major dependabot bump (criterion 0.5.1 → 0.8.2, a dev-dependency used only by lance/benches/latency.rs). It cannot be auto-merged (majors are always the user's merge) and is currently conflicting with main. CI has been red since 2026-02-15 because criterion 0.6 removed criterion::black_box (now std::hint::black_box); a @dependabot retry alone cannot fix that — it needs the import migration.
