- Modified conditions for display of alert and notice messages in application.html.haml - Fixed style issues on signup and signing form - Cleaned up HAML for index.html.haml - Simplified some of the SCSS - Removed unused Navbar dropdown.

I've left the content static at the moment. I'm more familiar with mySQL than SQLite and I wasn't sure if you needed me to have dynamic content or not.
Modified the index.html.haml page to create 'blog' header and content.
Modified the application.html.haml page to remove the brand from the navbar.
Modified SCSS
Everything else is left as is at the moment. Happy to do more if need be.
I maintained the two-space tabs. If you have any other conventions or standards you want me to follow, let me know.
