Amsterdam Tech Week Hackathon
June 17, 2026 | 18:00–21:00
FeedbackFruits, Amsterdam
Can you build an AI agent that gives better feedback than your peers?
Design, test, and refine an AI-powered feedback agent for science writing. Your agent helps students improve their summaries using the Universal Science Writing Rubric.
First time with GitHub? You'll need a GitHub account to participate.
Don't have VS Code and GitHub Copilot yet? No problem! You'll set these up during Phase 1 (Step 6) using our Setup Guide.
Want to prepare in advance? Follow the Setup Guide to install:
- VS Code
- GitHub Copilot extension (free trial available)
- Git
Get oriented and hear from FeedbackFruits
- 18:00-18:05: Welcome and event overview
- 18:05-18:15: FeedbackFruits presentation on educational feedback
18:15–19:05 | Phase 1: Orientation & Elicitation
Experience the task before building the AI
Write summaries, share reactions, learn the rubric, then fork the repo.
19:05–19:50 | Phase 2: Agent Design
Build your AI feedback agent
Design your agent's strategy, create instruction file, test it, and commit.
19:50–20:15 | Phase 3: Cross-Testing
Evaluate another team's agent
Test another team's agent and submit structured feedback via GitHub Issues.
20:15–20:40 | Phase 4: Iteration
Improve based on feedback received
Review feedback on your agent, make improvements, test, and commit v2.
20:40–21:00 | Phase 5: Community Testing & Reflection
