👋🏼 Hey! I'm Lucy.
I'm a software engineer who cares about how things are built — not just that they work, but that they're understandable, maintainable, and don't make the next person's life harder. I like good documentation, small improvements that compound over time, and fixing the things that make deployments painful.
Day-to-day I work with PHP, Python, and JavaScript, with a good amount of infrastructure mixed in — GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, that sort of thing. I live in the terminal (Ghostty, tmux, nvim) and prefer CLI over GUI where possible.
I'm a tinkerer with several personal projects on the go. I like to try and
solve problems with software — sometimes it's actually helpful! Right now
that's a colour-by-number PWA for me my kids and a pipeline that pulls
my Garmin data into a local database so I can query my own biometrics like
the data-nerd that I am.
