This is so that git status shows a clean directory after a build.

Actually, I wonder if this .gitignore file should also be included in the makefile and/or the script that is used to generate the tarball. For the time being, I'm trying to maintain both versions of source code management. I'll look into this.

Victor commented on #7 that we should coordinate. Could you add an entry for the .pc file as well?
