Software Engineering Foundations

This repository contains a collection of projects, exercises, and hands-on labs developed throughout different stages of my software engineering journey. Its purpose is to document the evolution of my knowledge in programming, backend application design, distributed architectures, collaborative development, and core software engineering principles.

Through these projects, I explored different technologies, programming languages, and architectural approaches, ranging from bootcamp applications to Spring Boot systems and microservices-based architectures. Together, these projects represent a learning path focused on experimentation, problem-solving, and the development of strong engineering fundamentals.

Engineering Journey

Repository Structure

Bootcamp Exercises

A collection of exercises and challenges completed during intensive training programs, focused on programming logic, data structures, algorithms, and backend development fundamentals.

Coding Challenges

Programming problems and practice exercises designed to strengthen problem-solving skills, solution modeling, and algorithmic thinking using Java.

Microservices Architecture

A set of projects focused on learning microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related technologies. Topics explored include:

  • Service registration and discovery
  • API Gateway patterns
  • Centralized configuration
  • Service-to-service communication
  • Authentication and security
  • Independent and loosely coupled services
  • Fundamental distributed architecture patterns

Spring Framework Examples

Projects and examples built around the Spring ecosystem, exploring key concepts such as:

  • Spring Boot
  • Dependency Injection
  • REST API development
  • Data persistence
  • Application configuration
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Enterprise application organization

First Team Project Ruby

A collaborative project developed during my first software development bootcamp. This project represents one of my earliest experiences building an application as part of a development team while applying fundamental software engineering concepts, version control practices, feature organization, and collaborative workflows.

Beyond the technologies involved, this project provides insight into an early stage of my development as an engineer and helps illustrate the progression of my coding practices, architectural thinking, and problem-solving approach over time.

Purpose

This repository represents an important stage in the development of my technical foundations as a software engineer. The projects contained here showcase practical exploration of technologies, architectural patterns, and engineering principles that later served as the foundation for more advanced software, cloud, and distributed systems projects.
