Translates the Valeton GP-50, GP-100, and GP-5 guitar processor firmware from Chinese to English.
This script replaces Chinese text strings in firmwares with English translations while preserving the original byte structure and boundaries. It performs surgical string replacement in the firmware's string table section.
- Original Valeton Firmware (must be obtained legally)
- Windows PowerShell 5.1+ or PowerShell Core 7+
- A computer to run the patching script
Download the original firmware from Valeton's official website: https://www.valeton.net/pages/download
Or search for "Valeton firmware download" on your preferred search engine.
Scripts for GP-100 (GP-100-PatchToEnglish-v2.ps1) and GP-5 (GP-5-PatchToEnglish-v1_0_6.ps1) are included but have NOT been tested on actual hardware. They are provided as-is for community testing. Use them at your own discretion.
