👋 Hi, I'm Kim Jindol

Design. Build. Verify. Repeat.

🚀 About Me

I'm an independent systems developer building software from the ground up.

My primary focus is not just creating applications, but designing the technology underneath them—programming languages, runtimes, databases, backend systems, and developer tools.

Rather than treating these as research projects, I continuously validate them by building real software and measuring the results.

🔬 Current Focus

AFJ

An experimental systems programming language designed to evolve through real-world software development.

The language is continuously improved by implementing practical systems instead of isolated language features.

AFJ-DB

A deterministic event-sourced database built in AFJ.

The project validates language capabilities through real implementations of:

  • Event storage
  • Integrity verification
  • Deterministic replay
  • Snapshots
  • Distributed synchronization

Every database feature is also a language validation test.

AI-assisted Engineering

I use AI as an engineering accelerator—not as a replacement for verification.

AI helps implement, review, and automate development, while every important result is validated through actual builds, tests, and reproducible execution.

🧠 Areas of Interest

⚙️ Engineering Philosophy

«Build. Verify. Improve.»

Every project follows the same engineering cycle:

  • Design
  • Implement
  • Test
  • Verify
  • Measure
  • Improve

I believe software should prove itself through implementation and validation—not assumptions.

✅ Validation First

Implementation alone is never the goal.

A feature is considered complete only when it has been:

  • Built
  • Tested
  • Verified
  • Reproduced

Implementation without verification is only a hypothesis.

🎯 Current Mission

Build a complete software ecosystem where every layer evolves together.

AFJ Language ↓ Compiler ↓ Runtime ↓ AFJ-DB ↓ Backend Services ↓ Applications

Each layer strengthens the next.

Every implementation improves the language.

Every language improvement enables more capable software.
