Hey, I'm Jacob 👋

I'm a Computer Science major at UC Santa Cruz, interested in anything to do with predicting patterns! I'm currently in preparation for a PhD, looking to focus on Computational Neuroscience / NeuroAI 🧠

Current Research Interest

I'm currently working on Self-Supervised Learning for electrophysiological brain data, specifically exploring Joint-Embedding Predictive Architecture (JEPA) models and their ability to distill representations into Spiking Neural Networks. The goal with this project is to understand how we can learn efficient, interpretable representations from neural recordings without labels.
