Isaiah Singer | Data Analyst

Early-career Data Analyst with roots in media and entertainment. I studied Statistics and Data Science at UC Santa Barbara, and I work mainly in R and Python to dig into what drives an audience, from viewer retention to consumer trends. Currently looking for analyst work while building toward data science.

🌐 About Me

  • Background in game show production and the music industry, where I've built forecasting and budget models and dug into what makes content perform
  • Drawn to the consumer side of data: audience behavior, revenue performance, and what a business should do about it
  • I build projects on the side to keep my skills sharp
  • Fun fact: I built my first regression model before I learned to drive

🧠 What I Work With

  • Languages & Tools: R, Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel
  • Libraries: tidyverse, ggplot2, pandas, matplotlib
  • Focus Areas: Predictive modeling, exploratory analysis, and data storytelling
  • Currently Learning: Power BI, Microsoft Azure

📊 Featured Projects

Smartphone Usage Analytics
Analyzed how demographics influence smartphone usage in R, comparing regression and tree-based models and finding that behavior, not demographics, drives usage.

Free Speech at UCSB
Statistical study of UCSB students' perspectives on free speech, using ANOVA and power analysis to test for group differences.

Used Car Price Analysis
Regression-based analysis of how power, mileage, and other factors shape used car prices, with diagnostics for multicollinearity and model fit.
