Backend engineer. 5 years of Python and Django. Based in Baghdad.
I like owning systems end to end: design them, ship them, run them, and carry the pager for them.
At work — I'm a backend engineer on the team behind Apicbase, a multi-tenant food-tech SaaS with 500+ client locations. My own contributions there: the event-driven inventory pipeline on Amazon SQS + Celery, a per-object permission refactor across every tenant, and cutting our CI from 2 hours to 49 minutes.
On my own — two production systems I built solo and still run:
| System | Scale |
|---|---|
| The Two Rivers — university ERP | 5 colleges · 200+ staff daily |
| KMS — power-plant operations platform | 2 plants · 400+ users |
Their code is private (client systems), so I wrote real case studies instead — architecture, domain models, and the decisions behind them:
→ production-systems: the full case studies
How I work — Claude Code every day, with my own worktree tooling to run coding agents in parallel.
