video2discord is a user friendly app that compresses video files using ffmpeg to send to Discord.
Typically, messaging apps like Discord limit file upload sizes to low amounts, like 8mb. This prevents users from being able to share larger files, like videos. video2discord helps bypass this restriction by:
- Leveraging ffmpeg's Python wrapper to compress videos
- Offering a user friendly interface
- Adjustable file sizes
- Easily accessible compressed videos
- On the right, click on the latest release.
- Download the installer and run it.
Note: Windows may flag this file as dangerous. Click "More info" and "Run anyway"
- Delete the setup installer.
- Simply drag and drop a video file (currently supports major file types like MP4, AVI, etc.)
- Select the desired size for your final video
- Click start and wait for the compression to finish
- Click on the finished video in the "Saved Videos" pane
