gitar is an object-orient API wrapper on top of JGit.
gitar is in Maven Central now.

This repository should be compiled in Java 10/11 (notice that there's no openjdk-10 but only has openjdk-11 on Ubuntu 18.04). The produced jar is compatible with Java 8+, which makes it Spring compatible (Spring only supports Java 8 yet).
mvn clean install

Then the result files will be in /deploy folder. (TODO: It seems I cannot specify repository-id which deployment location I want?)

Follow this link. If the gpg server is down, one can list all the available ones using gpg-connect-agent --dirmngr 'keyserver --hosttable', and upload to another one.

Generating .asc files is basically
$ cd deploy/com/gitenter/gitar/[version]/
$ gpg -ab gitar-[version].jar
$ gpg -ab gitar-[version].pom
$ gpg -ab gitar-[version]-sources.jar
$ gpg -ab gitar-[version]-javadoc.jar
but it can be automatic using nexus-staging-maven-plugin with maven-gpg-plugin.
Deployment
mvn clean deploy
If got No public key: Key with id: (c6d9969e8a7371f8) was not able to be located on <a href=http://pool.sks-keyservers.net:11371/>http://pool.sks-keyservers.net:11371/</a>. Upload your public key and try the operation again., that means the public key has not been propagate. Wait several hours and try again.
If got gpg: signing failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device error, not sure the exact reason but follow this link works.
Add to ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf:
use-agent
pinentry-mode loopback
Add to ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf
allow-loopback-pinentry
