feat: add the one-policy-one-payment post - #14
Merged
Conversation
First post on the agent-payments work: the x402 PoC design (one policy = one payment, enforced in the ERC-1271 path of a standard ERC-3009 transfer), the ERC-8366 draft it grew into, and the public reference implementation. Written to be the canonical link target for the Magicians thread and the x402 concept issue, which is why it carries the standards detail a lighter announcement would skip.

Description
Publishes the first post on the agent-payments work, written to be the canonical link target for the ERC-8366 Magicians thread and the x402 concept issue, which is why it carries more standards detail than a lighter announcement would.
Reviewer notes: the post date is 2026-08-06 because the closing sections cover the ERC submission and reference implementation that landed on Aug 5. A second draft (
confidential-stablecoin-transfers) exists locally but is deliberately not part of this PR; it ships separately once approved.Related Issues/PRs
No tracked issue; publication approved by Jun in session. Companion artifacts: ethereum/ERCs#1929, fractalyze/erc-8366.
