🎯 What: Removed the unused sys import from scripts/maintenance/tag_release.py.
💡 Why: The sys module was imported but not referenced anywhere in the script, as verified by static analysis. Removing unused imports improves code clarity, prevents potential namespace pollution, and maintains a clean codebase without affecting functionality.
Verification: Verified the removal visually and successfully ran ruff check configured in the project on the file with no errors reported.
Result: A cleaner tag_release.py file with slightly improved code health and readability.

The removal of the unused sys import is correct and improves code health. The change has been verified against the file content - sys is not referenced anywhere in the script. No issues found that would block merge.
