I have stopped work on this version of the app permanently -- but LyricsLab is far from dead. This was my first pure SwiftUI project, and I learned a lot in the making of it. So much that I realized I needed to throw the entire thing in the trash and start over.
So that's what I did. You can follow the project here.

A beautiful, retrofuturistic app for songwriters - the only writing app you will ever need. Built by a writer, for writers, aiming to addresss the pain points when it comes to the writing process.
Features
Write and organize your lyrics and songs easily, including folders
Automatic rhyme scheme detection and highlighting, including near-rhymes and phonetics
Rhyme suggestions based on detected rhyme scheme
Connects to a rhyming API but falls back to a local rhyming dictionary when offline (CMU)
Play beats/instrumentals from local storage while writing
Loop specific portions of the instrumental wbile writing to that particular part without constantly switching apps and hapbazardly rewinding the track
Optional AI rhyme suggestions
Control bar in rhyme editor allowing you to toggle rhyme highlighting, autocorrect, auto-capitalization, and text size
Upcoming features (work in progress)
Play beats/instumentals from YouTube, Google Drive, or Apple Music, as well as local storage (implemented) with full support for looping and playing the track while editing
Optional AI rhyme suggestions
Cloud sync via iCloud - never lose your work again
