An ambient patch inspired by Brian Eno's "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" (track "2/1"). It's not meant to emulate the piece exactly, but only to pay homage to his concept. I based my patch on a patch by Simon Hutchinson, as described in his video tutorial on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sTrn39TT7k
However, I've added some features:
- The ability to choose the type of signal (sine, triangle, sawtooth or square wave).
- The ability to modify the pitches used in the piece.
- Random panning of each note in the stereo field.
- The ability to add (or remove) voices.
- The ability to mute/unmute individual voices.
The patch requires the external libraries 'else' and 'zexy' to be installed. To run it, double-click on 'Airports.pd', or open the file from within Pd. I've only tested this under Pd 0.56.2 (Windows/amd64), so if you run into problelms, let me know. However, I don't have access to a Mac, so I may not be able to help in all cases.
