- swap postgresql-13 packages for postgresql-16 - update config paths from /etc/postgresql/13/ to /etc/postgresql/16/ - handle stale PG 13 volumes on devcontainer startup - add pg_createcluster in Dockerfile since PG 16 doesn't auto-create - add openjdk-11-jre-headless for pubsub emulator compatibility
queueworker, tunnel2, and custom domains nginx: 2 → 1 maintenance mode with minimal traffic doesn't need redundancy for these
reduce CPU/memory requests to 3-20x actual usage (from 50-300x) total requests: ~5.5 cores / 7.5 GB → ~610m / ~2.7 GB enables shrinking node pool from 2x t2d-standard-8 to 1x e2-standard-4
