Held for launch: do not merge until product updates ship

This PR is built to 100% but intentionally not merged. It is the on-site SEO content and OSS hygiene that goes live when the maker gives the go, after the planned product updates. A PR preview deploy lets you review it live without publishing to production.

What is in it

SEO landing pages (static HTML, dark theme matching the site, each with a definition-first opener, an honest comparison table, a FAQ, BreadcrumbList + FAQPage JSON-LD, and a download CTA). Static means instantly crawlable with great Core Web Vitals, no prerender needed:

  • dictidy-vs-wispr-flow and superwhisper-alternative (P0: highest-intent, competitor terms the incumbents leave undefended)
  • best-free-dictation-app-mac and open-source-dictation-mac (category terms)
  • remove-filler-words-from-dictation (low-competition, on-message)
  • dictation-for-accessibility-mac (hands-free / accessibility use case)

sitemap.xml updated to list all pages (clean URLs matching each page's canonical).

README + CONTRIBUTING: definition-first opener, an honest comparison table, and contributor guidance. The README stays strictly product-only (no website/marketing), and all copy is em-dash free.

Honesty and quality bar

  • No invented stats (no stars, downloads, or ratings anywhere).
  • Every page is fair to competitors and owns Dictidy's real caveats (Apple Silicon + macOS 13.3+ only, self-signed / not notarized, on-device by default with opt-in Claude key).
  • Zero em-dashes and en-dashes. All JSON-LD validated. FAQ schema matches the visible FAQ on each page.

Before publishing (when you press go)

  • Rebase onto main after the prerender PR merges.
  • Consider adding internal links from the homepage to these pages (the homepage is the Claude Design bundle, so that is a separate edit).
  • Submit the updated sitemap in Google Search Console.

…or launch)

On-site SEO content, built to 100% but held: publish by merging this PR after
the product updates ship.

- 6 static SEO landing pages (site/*.html), dark theme matching the site, each
with a definition-first opener, an honest comparison table, a FAQ, and
BreadcrumbList + FAQPage JSON-LD, targeting undefended competitor and category
  terms: dictidy-vs-wispr-flow, superwhisper-alternative,
  best-free-dictation-app-mac, open-source-dictation-mac,
  remove-filler-words-from-dictation, dictation-for-accessibility-mac.
- sitemap.xml lists all pages (clean URLs matching each canonical).
- README: definition-first opener + an honest comparison table; stays
product-only; all em-dashes removed. CONTRIBUTING polished with code-layout,
  bug-reporting, and good-first-issue guidance.

Static pages are instantly crawlable with strong Core Web Vitals (no prerender
needed). No invented stats; fair to competitors; zero em/en dashes; all JSON-LD
validated and FAQ schema matches the visible FAQ on every page.
