Game Design
SimDim is a game inspired my the book FLATLAND writen in 1884 by Edwin Abbott Abbott.
In this game the player can explore worlds, from several dimensions. They are peopled by creatures, shown as geometric figures.
In this mathematical world, your shape is your social rank. The more regular side you have, the high nobility you have. The more sharp corner you have, the more deadly you are.
This project was started as a PlaneJam contest from GDC2013. Its purpose was to create a simple and KISS game of life, as a Unity3D tutorial for basic AI.
A dead creature mecomes dead matter. Could become food or houses.
No audio right now: The game is shape-based and I decided to abort the "war-cry" or the female "scream" to identify themselves. The only wave managed in this game are light.
