An interactive, true-scale 3D model of the 2-Bedroom + Ensuite Study, Type B1(S) (77 m² / 829 sq ft, BLK 1 #04-07 to #23-07) at CanningHill Piers, built for planning renovation works directly with a contractor.
Easiest: open dist/index.html in any browser — it is a fully self-contained
single file (no server, no internet needed).
For development:
npm install
npm run dev # local dev server
npm run build # rebuilds dist/index.html- True-scale model — every wall face was extracted from the sales brochure's vector floor plan, calibrated against its 5 m scale bar (≈ ±2–5 cm accuracy).
- Structural vs non-structural — RC shear walls, facade walls, columns and service ducts are locked (grey); drywall partitions and joinery can be removed and restored, building up a demolition list for the contractor.
- Add components — partition walls, glass partitions/sliders (e.g. to enclose the open kitchen), wardrobes, cupboards, TVs, counters, beds, sofas, appliances.
- Easy manipulation — hover highlights and names whatever is under the
cursor; selected objects get a large teal floor disc you can drag from
anywhere (5 cm snap,
Shiftfor free), arrow keys nudge 5 cm (Shift= 1 cm),Rrotates, and exact X/Z position + W/D/H are editable in the panel. - Measure tool — click any two points for the distance in m and mm.
- Three views — orbit 3D, top-down plan (with room dimensions), and
first-person walk (
WASD+ mouse). - Save / share — auto-saves in the browser, plus named version snapshots (e.g. "Open kitchen" vs "Enclosed kitchen") you can reload any time; Export/Import as JSON for backup or sharing.
- Editor basics — undo/redo (
Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Shift+Z/Ctrl+Y), duplicate (Ctrl+D), delete (Del), deselect (Esc). - ☀ Sun & glare study — astronomically computed Singapore sun positions driving real 3D shadows, with approximate massing for Block 5, Somerset, the Moxy hotel, the rest of Block 1 and Fort Canning Hill. Pick month, time and floor (#04–#23); a full-day timeline classifies glare risk (low sun in), overhang-shaded, neighbour-blocked, or no sun. The stack-07 facade faces ≈N28°E (from the brochure site plan), so the unit gets morning sun only — no harsh western afternoon sun.
- Adjustable ceiling height — defaults to 2.85 m; set the real site-measured value.
| Room | Size (m) |
|---|---|
| Living / Dining | 3.10 × 4.20 (opens into kitchen zone) |
| Kitchen (open) | 3.03 × 2.16 |
| Bedroom 2 | 2.56 × 2.82 |
| Master Bedroom | 2.71 × 3.99 (open to study) |
| Study (ensuite) | 2.05 × 1.91 |
| Master Bath | 2.17 × 2.73 |
| Bath 2 | 1.82 × 1.66 |
| Balconies | 3.28 × 1.58 and 2.88 × 1.58 |
Notable structure: a ~400 mm RC shear wall between the living room and bedroom 2, ~400 mm west facade, three service duct risers (kitchen, beside bath 2, master bath). The bedroom 2 / master bedroom partition and all bathroom walls are lightweight (~90–120 mm) partitions.
See docs/floorplan-extraction.md for how the geometry was derived and verified.
- Dimensions come from the sales brochure ("approximate measurements, subject to re-survey") — verify on site before ordering carpentry or committing works.
- Wet-area partitions are flagged in-app: relocating them involves waterproofing and plumbing, normally with MCST/BCA approval.
- Localised false ceilings/bulkheads (kitchen, baths, corridor) are not modelled.
- Confirm all structural assumptions against the developer's as-built drawings before any demolition.
