Why

Follow-up to #28. Deployments often need SimHub on a host port other than 3000 (proxy in front, port already taken). This makes the host port configurable without editing compose.yaml.

Changes

  • compose.yaml: host side of the port mapping is now ${HOST_PORT:-3000}.
  • .env.example: documents HOST_PORT (defaults to 3000).

The container-internal port stays fixed at 3000, so the image healthcheck is unaffected — only the published host port changes.

Validation

docker compose config resolves published to "3000" by default and "8080" with HOST_PORT=8080.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Use ${HOST_PORT:-3000} for the host side of the port mapping and document
HOST_PORT in .env.example. Container-internal port stays 3000 so the image
healthcheck is unaffected. Defaults to 3000 when unset.
