EchoBot is a simple application designed to bring an anime-themed AI companion to your Windows computer. You can chat with it, ask questions, or just have fun conversations. This guide will help you download and run EchoBot easily, even if you do not have any technical skills.
Before you download EchoBot, make sure your PC meets these basics:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or newer
- Processor: Intel or AMD, 1.5 GHz minimum
- Memory: 4 GB RAM or more
- Storage: 200 MB free space
- Internet: Required for first run and updates
These requirements ensure the app runs smoothly. If your PC is older than this, the app might not work well.
You need to visit the official releases page to find the latest version of EchoBot. This page lists all versions and files you can download.
Clicking the link will take you to the releases page. Look for the latest version by date. The files are usually named clearly, ending with .exe for Windows.
Follow these steps one by one to get EchoBot running on your Windows PC:

Scroll to the top of the page. You will see the latest release near the top with the most recent date.
Look under the "Assets" section of the release. Find the file that ends with .exe or mentions Windows.
Click on that file to start the download.
Once the file downloads, navigate to your "Downloads" folder or the place you saved the file.
Double-click the .exe file. Windows might show a security alert asking if you want to run the file; select ‘Run’ or ‘Yes.’
A setup window will open. EchoBot’s installer will guide you with simple steps:
- Agree to the license terms by clicking the checkbox if prompted.
- Choose where to install the app or use the default folder.
- Click ‘Install’ to begin.
Wait a minute for the process to complete.
When finished, click ‘Finish’ or ‘Close.’
You can find EchoBot on your desktop or in the Start menu.
Double-click the icon to open the application.
Once EchoBot opens, you will see a chat window with an anime character.
- Type your message in the text box at the bottom.
- Press Enter or click the Send button.
- EchoBot will reply instantly.
You can ask general questions, talk about your favorite anime, or just chat.
The app is designed to respond naturally with friendly, simple language.
EchoBot does not update automatically. To keep it current:
- Return to the GitHub releases page.
- Download the newest
.exefile. - Run it to replace your old version.
This keeps you up to date with improvements and bug fixes.
- Check that your Windows system is up to date.
- Try running EchoBot as administrator: right-click the icon and select ‘Run as administrator.’
- Restart your PC and try again.
- Verify your internet connection.
- Close and reopen EchoBot.
- If the problem continues, download the latest version using the steps above.
- Make sure there is enough storage space.
- Temporarily disable antivirus software during installation.
- Re-download the file in case it is corrupted.
By default, EchoBot installs to:
C:\Program Files\EchoBot\
You can change this during setup if you want a different location.
To uninstall:
- Open Windows Settings.
- Select ‘Apps.’
- Find EchoBot in the list.
- Click ‘Uninstall’ and follow prompts.
This removes all program files safely.
- Avoid renaming or moving files after installation.
- Close EchoBot properly by clicking the ‘Exit’ button inside the app.
