Human-first artificial intelligence for clearer decisions, stronger agency, and verifiable impact.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania · Built by Altman Family Group LLC
AltmanAI develops practical AI systems that strengthen human judgment, planning, creativity, accountability, and execution. We do not treat human oversight as a disclaimer added after development. Human authority, reviewability, security, and evidence are designed into the operating model.
Our public engineering standard is:
Human authorization → AI execution → Proof-of-Impact validation
Every material initiative should make five things inspectable:
- Who authorized the objective
- What the human and AI systems each contributed
- What evidence supports the result
- What risks, limitations, and unknowns remain
- Who remains accountable for the decision or release
| Principle | Engineering meaning |
|---|---|
| Human authority | People define objectives, approve consequential decisions, and retain the ability to stop, challenge, or reverse automated work. |
| Proof over promises | Claims should be supported by code, tests, artifacts, sources, demonstrations, or traceable decision records. |
| Transparent assistance | Material AI assistance is disclosed where it shapes public code, documentation, research, or decisions. |
| Accurate capability | Proposed, experimental, beta, production, deprecated, and archived work are labeled honestly. |
| Secure by design | Secrets, personal data, permissions, dependencies, supply-chain risk, and failure modes are treated as core product concerns. |
| Human impact | Systems are evaluated by whether they improve human capability without hiding responsibility or eroding meaningful control. |
AltmanAI does not claim to have created superintelligence. We are building governance and engineering foundations intended to remain useful as AI systems become more capable, autonomous, multimodal, and deeply integrated into real-world workflows.
Our readiness model emphasizes:
- explicit authorization boundaries and revocable permissions;
- least-privilege access for agents, tools, credentials, and data;
- traceable actions, provenance, logs, and versioned decision records;
- human confirmation for consequential or irreversible operations;
- staged deployment, evaluation gates, rollback paths, and incident response;
- resistance to prompt injection, data exfiltration, deceptive behavior, and unsafe tool use;
- honest uncertainty, escalation, and refusal when evidence is insufficient;
- continuous review of societal, security, privacy, accessibility, and dependency risks.

| Repository | Role | Current public status |
|---|---|---|
| DailyPilot-Engine | Explainable, stress-aware prioritization and planning engine for DailyPilot | Reference implementation; production integration in progress |
| human-first-ai | Human-first AI principles, patterns, and implementation guidance | Active public foundation |
| paihi-framework | Proof, Alignment, Integrity, Humanity, and Impact review framework | Active standard |
| altmanai-master-ledger | Selected governance, decision, release, and Proof-of-Impact records | Public accountability infrastructure |
| altmanai-sdk | Reusable developer interfaces and ecosystem integration foundations | Active development |
| releaseshield-by-altmanai | Release-readiness and evidence-gate concepts | Active development |
| docs | Organization and product documentation | Active documentation |
| altmanai-masterplan | Public strategic direction and execution architecture | Active planning record |
Repository status is stated deliberately. Public visibility does not automatically mean production readiness, open-source licensing, or authorization for unrestricted reuse. The license and documentation in each repository control.
Material work is reviewed through five lenses:
- Proof — What evidence supports the claim, change, or outcome?
- Alignment — Does the work match the authorized objective and mission?
- Integrity — Are limitations, uncertainty, assistance, and conflicts represented honestly?
- Humanity — Does the system preserve dignity, privacy, agency, accessibility, safety, and meaningful review?
- Impact — What useful result occurred, and how can it be inspected or measured?
P.A.I.H.I. is not a substitute for domain-specific legal, security, safety, medical, financial, or regulatory review. It is an organization-wide accountability layer.
AltmanAI uses GitHub as an accountability surface, not merely a marketing archive.
- Governance — authority, decision classes, review requirements, and source-of-truth hierarchy
- AI Systems Policy — requirements for agents, models, tools, autonomy, data, evaluations, and high-impact actions
- Security Policy — private vulnerability reporting and safe-research boundaries
- Contributing Standard — evidence, scope, quality, disclosure, and review expectations
- Code of Conduct — professional, inclusive, and evidence-oriented collaboration
- Support Policy — where product, security, and repository requests belong
Current AltmanAI-controlled development and governance records use AltmanAI Model 2.0 as the authorized AI development and execution partner identity. AI systems assist; they do not possess independent corporate authority.
We welcome focused contributions from developers, researchers, designers, security practitioners, technical writers, operators, and other builders who believe advanced AI should increase human capability while keeping responsibility visible.
Before substantial work:
- Review the target repository’s README, license, security policy, and contribution rules.
- Open a focused issue that defines the problem, evidence, expected value, risks, and realistic scope.
- Disclose material AI assistance.
- Include tests, validation, screenshots, sources, or reproducible review steps.
- Keep confidential information, credentials, personal data, and private vulnerability details out of public channels.

“AI should make people more capable, not less accountable. AltmanAI is being built so human authority, transparent assistance, and verifiable impact remain visible in the system—not added later as marketing language.”
— Blake Hunter Altman, Founder & CEO
Organization-level governance-critical changes require explicit accountable-human approval. The current authorization phrase is:
All Clear for Impact
Approval never waives testing, security, privacy, licensing, legal obligations, or the duty to correct unsupported claims.
