Summary
Manage portable Codex and Claude Code settings from checked-in fragments while preserving machine-local configuration.
Codex uses
yqfor structural TOML merging, strict validation, atomic replacement, and a one-time backup. The managed Codex fragment enables turn-ended notifications, low verbosity, concise reasoning summaries, pragmatic personality, automatic review,CLAUDE.mdfallback, and portable desktop Git preferences.Claude Code uses
jqto structurally merge documented user settings into~/.claude/settings.json. The managed attribution object disables commit attribution, PR attribution, and cloud or Remote Control session links. Existing permissions, hooks, plugins, model selection, and other local settings are preserved.Test Plan
