Possible Types of AIS Repos:

Internal Products: Private with a small team of contributors. Published for internal production use (e.g. AIS Internet site).

Published Products: Typically private with small team of contributors. Published as a SaaS or to a Store.

Research and Development

  • Marketing Assets: Typically public. Possibly read-only. IP supporting a blog, webinar, video, etc.
  • Investment Projects: May be public or private. Possibly read-only. IP created as part of an AIS funded initiative to illustrate the potential of a technology or AIS' competency in a technology, usually for lead generation. May be in conjunction with a client.
  • Readiness Projects: Typically private. Assuming a larger team of contributors. IP created to educate AIS staff on a potential technology.

Solution Offering: May be public or private. Assuming a larger team of contributors. Reusable IP created as part of AIS solution offering.

Business Development: May be public (18F) or private. Assuming a small team of contributors. IP created in pursuit of a sales opportunity.
