Quick Start

1 — Backend

cd backend

# Create and activate a virtual environment

2 — Frontend

Demo Flow

1. Open the app at localhost:3000.
2. On the Home page, tap the large dark-green mic button.
3. Speak a farming query in Twi ("Yɛnka asem no"):
   • "Yam ne dɛn na wɔtɔn no Kumasi?" — market price query
   • "Mepɛ sɛ mɛtɔn me nkruma" — listing produce
   • "Mɛyɛ dɛn fa me bɔbɛ ho?" — storage advice
4. AGRIVOICE transcribes your speech via GhanaNLP STT, routes the intent, and speaks the answer back via GhanaNLP TTS.
5. Explore Prices (live mock data) · Sell (form or voice) · Advice (text or voice).

GhanaNLP Special Category

This project was built for the Cursor × GhanaNLP Hackathon and applies for the Special Category: Moving Ghana Forward — Agriculture & Business Growth.

GhanaNLP provides speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and translation for Ghanaian languages including Twi (Asante), Ga, Ewe, Fante, Hausa, and Dagbani. Get your free API key at translation.ghananlp.org.
