Mirror the NousResearch/hermes-agent optional-skills pattern for TaskChad OS: a category-organized, opt-in skill hub that stays out of the default context window. Skills are copied into .claude/skills/ when enabled. Catalog (12 skills across 7 categories): - research/: duckduckgo-search (script), arxiv-digest - productivity/: daily-brief, flashcards (SM-2 script) - communication/: whatsapp-bridge, voice-transcribe - finance/: crypto-watch (CoinGecko script) - devops/: heartbeat-monitor (healthcheck script), log-triage - security/: secret-scan (scanner script) - creative/: meme-generator - mcp/: mcp-bridge Each skill ships a SKILL.md with hermes-style catalog frontmatter (metadata.taskchad: category, tags, related_skills) and flags the default-deny capability gate for any outbound mutation.
