Quite strange.
I downloaded the file and was UTF-8 with BOM.
I opened the file on Github repository in my fork) and paste into it the new text content (that was UTF8 with BOM) and I believe that new file will be UTF8 with BOM.
I will check in the future.

And I downloaded it_IT.lng in your main, the downloaded file does not contain UTF-8 BOM.

It seems to the deletion of UTF-8 BOM.
