Cable theft is one of Premier Panyaza Lesufi's G13 provincial crises — and it triggers 5 of the 13 simultaneously. Every stolen cable means dark streets, failed traffic lights, hospitals losing backup power, and CBDs decaying. Emfuleni Municipality covers 700,000 residents across 45 wards with zero digital tools to fight back.
CableWatch is the first community-powered cable theft intelligence platform in Gauteng. Any resident reports theft in under 60 seconds via photo and GPS. Reports appear live on a province-wide threat map. AI detects hotspot patterns and predicts where thieves will strike next. One tap generates an official report straight to SAPS or Eskom.
- 🗺️ Live province-wide threat map
- 🤖 AI hotspot prediction & pattern detection
- 📊 Ward accountability dashboard (45 Emfuleni wards)
- 📄 One-tap official GPG report generator for SAPS & Eskom
- 📱 Anonymous reporting — no account or fast internet required
- 🔔 Real-time alerts for neighbourhood watches
