Welcome to the Ultimate-Pong wiki!
Ultimate-Pong is an idea created from the Atari Game from 1972. The game features many benefits which were not available from in the original Pong Game. The game is to be developed by Blaine Harper from the organization A Tale of Two Nerds. Development has already begun and the game is to be finished before the end of the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition season is finished. Developed in tandem with FIRST® Team 1764 and Tale of Two Nerds, headed by Blaine Harper with assistance from 1764's programming team.
The Game
Ultimate-Pong is a Java-run Pong Game which uses lwjgl to create displays and openGL to create objects. The game's main design focus is the multiplayer capabilities. The game is to be designed in a manner which will allow the creation of a tournament from a server host and allow connection of up to 10 computers (5 sets of 2) and feature a tournament bracket and a tell which players are up next. It will also feature a single player mode that players can choose instead of multiplayer if there are no servers open. Currently Ultimate Pong will need to be hosted from a server to be played on a LAN, and could eventually be expanded into a more online version.
