Node 20 will be deprecated soon, https://github.blog/changelog/2025-09-19-deprecation-of-node-20-on-github-actions-runners/. This PR updates the package lock so that there are no longer deprecation warnings. In addition, some type coercion additions for breakages in the new TS version.
