Welcome to Mad SMS Filter support! This page contains everything you need to know about setting up and using the app.
Mad SMS Filter is an iOS app that helps you block unwanted text messages. You control what gets filtered by adding your own keywords, and matching messages automatically go to your Junk folder instead of your main inbox.
- Download Mad SMS Filter from the App Store
- Open the app at least once to register the extension
- Open iPhone Settings
- Scroll down and tap Messages
- Tap Filter Unknown Senders
- Turn ON Mad SMS Filter
- Open the Mad SMS Filter app
- In the Keywords section, tap the + button
- Enter words or phrases you want to filter (like "crypto", "loan", "prize")
- Tap Add
That's it! Messages containing your keywords will now go to the Junk folder.
Open the Mad SMS Filter app, go to the Keywords section, and tap the + button. Enter your keyword and tap Add.
In the app's Keywords section, tap the minus (-) button next to any keyword you want to remove.
Filtered messages go to the Junk folder in your Messages app. You can still see them there if needed.
Yes! In the Mad SMS Filter app, go to the Flagged Senders section and tap the trash icon next to any number you want to unblock.
Make sure you've enabled the filter in iPhone Settings > Messages > Filter Unknown Senders. The toggle for "Mad SMS Filter" must be ON.
The filter only works on messages from unknown senders. Messages from contacts in your address book are never filtered.
All filtering happens locally on your iPhone. No messages or data are sent to external servers. Your conversations remain completely private.
