What changed

  • add explicit website analytics consent with first-party visitor and session identities
  • extend the D1 schema with canonical identities, consent history, sessions, and identity links
  • add a service-authenticated account-link endpoint and consent-gated PostHog identify forwarding
  • expand first-party analytics reporting and privacy documentation

Why

This creates a company-owned identity layer that can connect website, download, desktop installation, and future account activity without browser fingerprinting or client-side account impersonation. Identity linking does not change the user analytics choice.

Validation

  • bun run check
  • 43 tests passed
  • Astro production build passed
  • Cloudflare Pages Functions and analytics Worker builds passed
  • desktop and mobile browser interaction review completed
